Polymers in Dispersed Media
I is the first part of a two volume set which addresses three primary
topics: polymerization in dispersed media, unconventional dispersion of polymers, and properties and
applications of dispersed media the first topic is discussed in this volume. The papers were
originally presented at the International Conference on Polymers in Dispersed Media, held in Lyons, France
in 1999.
From the Preface: “...The present symposium was more widely opened to several major topics
related to preparation, characterization and properties of dispersed polymers. The focus was not only on
the production through heterogeneous media (emulsion, dispersion, suspension, etc.) but also by
other methods including blends, reactive processing, ring-opening polyermization, etc. leading to
dispersed polymer materials with a broad range of particle size compositions and structures...”
Target Audience: Polymer chemists; professionals and researchers in the polymers and plastics
industries
