This volume documents the proceedings of the
Second International Symposium on Contact
Angle, Wettability and Adhesion, held in Newark, NJ June 21-23, 2000. Since the first symposium, held in
1992 (the proceedings of which are now out of print), there has been a great deal of new research devoted
to wetting phenomena. The 33 papers included in this book represent a commentary on the
current research and development in this field.
From the Preface: “...This symposium was organized with the following objectives in mind: to
bring together the active researchers and practitioners in this field; to provide a forum for discussion of
the latest R & D activities in this area; to provide an opportunity for cross-pollination of ideas; and
to highlight/identify topics which needed a more thorough investigation and intensified research effort...”
Target Audience: Industrial researchers and technologists, academicians, and upper-level
students interested in contact angles, wettability and adhesion.
